Will Mayo is a Los Angeles-based editor, writer, and director.
His work includes editing independent features, series, commercials, music videos, and shorts, which have screened at Sundance Film Festival, Venice Biennale, Berlinale, Telluride, and other top-tier film festivals. He edited Grindr’s Emmy-nominated venture into scripted series, Bridesman, as well as the acclaimed shorts Starf*ckers, Marcy Learns Something New, and Cashing Out, the latter of which was shortlisted for the Oscar®. Clients include Chappell Roan and Kai Cenet.
Two short films he directed, First Night Out and As Beautiful Inside, became Vimeo Staff Picks. The Mountain and Dropping Off are his latest shorts currently on the festival circuit.
Hailing from rural Tennessee, he holds a BFA in Film & TV production from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
