THE SHALLOW END @ Indie Memphis Film Festival 2019

THE SHALLOW END @ Indie Memphis Film Festival 2019

The Shallow End, a short directed by Cynthia Silver, edited and post supervised by yours truly, will be screening at Indie Memphis this month. One of my favorite film festivals, Indie Memphis hosts an impressive array of diverse and talented filmmakers from across the world, and provides top tier hospitality.

The short, based on a play by Wendy MacLeod, follows a group of vulnerable, swimsuit-clad teenaged girls jockeying for power at a community swimming pool in early-1980s America. It was a pleasure to edit and supervise. Cheers to everyone involved!

I was post supervisor and editor for The Adulterers, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival last year, and will now be premiering on March 14th on Sundance Now. Time to get that one-month free subscription, babies!

I’ve posted this before, but here’s an intro video about the series with creators Tonya Glanz and Chris Roberti, which I helped produce and edit for Sundance Film Festival 2018.

The Wasserman Awards Finalists and Craft Awards for NYU's First Run Festival were announced yesterday. I was fortunate enough to win two Craft Awards for Sound Design for a graduate film, Hasim October, by Swetha Regunathan, and for an undergraduate film, Alientologists, by Tyler Rabinowitz. The latter film was a Wasserman finalist and could win up to $10,000 when the winners are announced in March. Cheers!

Kodak had Ian, Annie, and me on their podcast, The Kodakery, to discuss making the film and what using the camera meant to us (among other things). Are you cleaning your house today? Then give it a listen.
